🧠 Client Overview
Whalepass is a digital game distribution platform founded in 2023, designed to help premium computerngame publishers reach new audiences, particularly in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
❗ The Challenge
As an early-stage startup with no in-house outbound experience, Discover.Games faced multiple obstacles:
A very narrow total addressable market (~3,000 qualified companies)
No validated messaging or cold outreach strategy
A lean internal team with limited sales capacity
High pressure to book enterprise and mid-market meetings (deal sizes €10K+)
Step 1: TAM Mapping & Lead Enrichment
We built the entire TAM from scratch using Clay, LinkedIn filters, and publisher databases. All records were enriched with relevant fields for personalization and targeting.
Step 2: Messaging Testing at Scale
We developed and tested 12+ cold email angles, including:
Post-launch discoverability
Reaching new regions (MENA, Arabic-speaking players)
Building community through creators
Finding and activating relevant streamers
Helping small teams save time and budget on marketing
Supporting performance tracking and feedback
Step 3: Cold Email Engine
Using Smartlead and Clay, we automated outreach while maintaining a personalized tone. Deliverability infrastructure and inbox rotation were handled up front to ensure optimal inbox placement.
Step 4: Weekly Transparency Calls
Throughout the campaign, we conducted weekly transparency calls with Discover.Games.
These sessions included:
Performance review & reply breakdowns
Analysis of which messaging angles resonated
Tactical changes to targeting or sequence structure
Shared dashboards and full visibility into campaign logic
This ensured full alignment and gave the client clarity on what’s working, what’s not, and why.
